Hair cut and color

I took the braids out. They were getting on my last nerve because they were itchy and since I cut my own hair my hair was sticking out of the braids. It looked funky, like I had the braids in for months and they were on their last leg or something. So needless to say they had to go. Today would have been 3 weeks but I couldn’t even get to a month. I went to the hairdresser. They have a guy in there that does cuts and natural hair. The salon is in Queens and close to me so I was amped when my sister told me about it. I got a brown color with hints of red and a cut. I m happy with it…and today when I came in to work my co-workers were gushing over it and that made me feel GREAT! I feel like a supastar! LOL

I almost cried when he first put the clippers to it, but hell. Its hair and it will grow back and I am so excited about this whole thing. Moreover I read NatiDreads page and she was talking about not being able to just wear your own hair and not that she was saying this but instantly I felt like I was gipping myself of the experience of just doing the whole cut and starting from scratch. But Alas I am here. I got over myself and just did it…..
