Christmas Day

I wanted to do something different other than the headband that would be cute. I had a picture in my hair inspiration folder that I wanted to try. I had my sister cornrow the front and then the back i just put some curly pudding in it and let it airdry. The only thing with the CP is that it takes a while to dry which can be annoying.

This was my inspirational picture

Back from the heat into the cold

I am back from the bahamas and my hair responds so well to the warm wetter. I basically did a wash and go while I was there... but this is by far my favorite pic of my hair. This was on the flight there - I had washed and conditioned my hair and put some of the curling pudding which - not for nothing - I am in love with!

MIss Jessies Curly Pudding

I went to http://curve-salon.com because I was hearing alot about them and the way they turn kinks to curls and how they style natural hair. I fell in love. I go to the website whenever I'm gettig discouraged about the length of my hair or the lack of it or whenever I'm having a bad hair day - after I see the pictures of all those beautifully nappy sisters it kinda gives me hope. On the website they talk about their curly pudding and how it helps keeps your curls and they talk about their buttercreme. I have a friend whose wife is a natural and he said that her hair never looked better since she started using the buttercreme so after debating for sometime I said what the hell. The cost of the buttercreme can kinda sway you - its not cheap. it was $48 I believe and the curly pudding was $28 or something all I know is that I spent almost $85. But yesterday I went to MD for L's cousins baby shower and I wanted to be cute so I used it. I LOVED IT! It really did hold my curls nicely. They claim that your hair looks dry what it looks like wet and its a valid claim. and of course when I wanted to take pictures of it my camera died but I will redo it and take pics of all the steps and share those. I do have some pics from my cell phone so I will post those.

A whole new year

I was talking to a friend about what I am going to wear for my company’s Christmas party this year. My mind returned to the Christmas party from last year and what I went though the night before to be pretty. I permed and dyed my hair all that same night and while it looked nice…right after when I was done, my hair was hard and brittle in that fried, dyed and layed to the side kinda way. This year I have a whole new set of worries but buying perm and color for my hair is not one of them. Of course I want to look nice and I will probably keep my cornrows in from my trip to the Bahamas but im not totally sure yet what I will be doing. We shall see.

I had to see if I could track down some pics of me at last years Christmas party to share - and here they are......

Comb Out

I rubbed some sta-sof-fro on and spritzed it with my daily spritz and just combed it out and put a headband on it. I do that alot lately and I want to get out that but its a cute quick fix.

This is the first time I did this style

this was on Thanksgiving day - cheesing and the flash was entirely too bright.

Chunky fro

I twisted my hair one night for a change and the next morning I untwisted and put a small amount of sta-sof-fro on it and rocked it to work. I got alot of compliments on it and it was cool. Here is the top of it
